306 air con

Hi,

I've just bought an '02 plate 306 HDi estate and I have a question
regarding the air con. I've noticed that when I turn the fan control
so that it is directed at the windscreen only, it turns on the air
con. Is this normal? Or is there a dodgy connection somewhere?

It's normal. The air con dries the air so it will demist the
windscreen more quickly.

This is normal as you are pushing DRY air at the screen which comes from the
air con unit. Do this at least once a week to keep the air con gas in good
condition.
