hood operation blows fuse

hi there,every time we try to use the electric hood it blows the
fuse,any ideas please

first is it the right fuse fitted?i do think you have to have the
engine running when you are putting the roof up so it is not a drain
on the batt.

Does the hood move freely throughout its entire travel from down to up.  If
not then the motor will be overloaded and the fuse will blow to protect it.
