Hi!
Got a 406 exec. 2001.
Recently, the fuel gauge has been behaving strange. It started last week.
Filled up the tank, went home and everything ok. After a while, got in the
car and started up and the gauge indicated that the tank was empty, with the
light flashing and a warning message on the display. after a while it
started to rise very slowly. Switched off several times until it started to
work normal again. Today filled it up again and the gauge played up again.
After much switching on and off, now its ok.
Could it be the sender unit in the tank or is it the instrument cluster
thats playing up?
Many thanks to all, in advance.

Hello grilo,
I had a similar pb, I remove the pump from the tank and had it
cleaned. Ther was lot of dirt on the sensors. After that, that the
problem was solved.

I´ll give it a go and see what happens!
Cheers.
