Does anybody else have the same problem as my friend has with her PUG, the
right indicator light randomly turns itself on as she's driving, the arm does
not move but the light will start flashing away as she's driving any ideas
please?

the arm does not move when this happens, its just a random event as she's
driving along.

That's what Farmer Giles meant.   It is a common fault on that model which
is repaired by fitting a new arm.   Presumably the switch is making a
connection without any movement of the arm.
