Unlikely on an HDI but it could be the diesel pump ;o)
Worth getting the filters checked because, if the lift pump in the tank is
starting to go, it is cheaper the earlier you catch it. If it's going
there will be signs of metal filings in the filter.

That depends on whether it is a Bosch or Siemens injection system. The
Siemens variety doesn't have the lift pump in the tank.
Details of the car and age would help.

I found alt.autos.citroen on the BT server. Maybe yours doesn't carry it.
