If not already done in the past, the cambelt (given for 80,000 or 5 years,
not sure about the mileage). Heavily recommended : the water pump (the old
may not last with a new belt, due to its tension) and the aux belt (for a
couple of pounds, it's an investment).

Good point re water pump, it had not occured to me and as access looks
awkward, might as well do it when in that area. Having both belts done by
local garage which I trust for £300.00.

Seems a reasonable price. I had my petrol 406 cambelt done when I bought the
car because there was no record of it having been done. IIRC it cost me £140
or so but you're getting extra done. I remember when I had a Xantia asking
the local Cit. dealers how much a cam belt change would be. Very little
change from £450 was the answer, local specialist did it for £120.
