Hi, My 10 year old Peugeot 306 TD has developed a noisy a/c pump (I
had it re-gassed last week but they never mentioned the noise). It
"rattles" every so often as is very noticeable!! So, rather than pay
£500 for a replacement (more than the cars worth!), is it possible to
remove the pump from the run of the belt (i.e. get a smaller belt)?.TIA

Have to do it a way that i did it once with a piece of string but make sure the belt ajuster is all the way in so u get a good tight belt when u fit one.
