306 DTurbo 1998 with ABS:

before the MOT the brakes were quite good. not much peddle travel, front end
dipped, hard braking on water/ice caused the peddle to vibrated (ABS) etc
At the MOT the dealer said the compensator was faulty. They 'freed' it off
and it passed the MOT (no charge for the freeing)
Since then i have more peddle travel, the front doesn't dip and no matter
how hard i brake the vibration has gone. It just doesn't stop as well as it
did. They say it's okay. And quite normal now and that before was not the
way the brakes should be.
Before MOT i had new rear cyclinders fitted, Tarox front discs and green
stuff pads fitted

Any help please
