My warranty on my 306 Hdi runs out next March. Got a phone call from
the dealer yesterday offering an extra year for £229. Is this a good
deal, thinking of taking it but wondered what others think?
TIA
cheers,
Len

I used to pay about ?170 to the Civil Service Motoring Association for mine,
so it doesn't seem bad value. I had a 98S 306 estate and always had more
than the cost of the warranty in repairs every year!
Check the level of cover (max per claim etc) and whether it has a max
mileage limit.

It's not worth the paper it's written!
Ask them to write in "plain english" what is covered and what is not
covered. Generally, from experience, moving parts are excluded, that equates
to anything under the bonnet. Natural maintenance items, brakes, tyres,
lights, doors, locks, electrics are also excluded. Pipes and hoses are
excluded. The list is endless.Unless that paper has changed within the last
three years. Bank the money in an high interest account.
