Got this new car (model 2001)and wanted to put a new cd player in it. so far
so good no problems at all, everything fit.

But when i turn of the car, the radio lose all power and the mem/settings is
gone.

Been looking in the manual, and can se that one wire for the radio should be
perm +, but its not, none off the wires for the radio is perm +

Maybe it has something to do with the cabin light to, i cant turn it on with
out the ignition?

Cant find a fuse or anything wrong, so plz help out if anybody know anyting.

My mate has a 1.9D 206, V reg, so around 2000, and we swopped that stereo
for a sony one.  Was there a red wire and yellow wire coming out of the
stereo, and a red wire and a yellow wire coming out of that car?  That you
presumably joined like for like.  Thats what we did and had the same problem
as you, what we then did was to join red to yellow and yellow to red - which
cured it :)

Or look at the instructions and work out which is the permanent live from
the set, and connect it to a permanent fused live.  Maybe the cigarette
lighter live?
