How much HP/Torque do you think it will take for the tranny to crack?

If I was to plan to run 500rwhp, would I be doing too much work on the
tranny of a 96 Trans Am? How about the engine? Would 500rwhp be too much
for it? Anyone the the highest that the tranny and engine can take?

Maybe you should mention if it's an auto or manual.  Maybe if you're
worrying about what the engine can take you are blowing bullshit.

Also would help to know the numbers on the tranny.

Some stock models from that year were rated ~325hp, some ~350hp, some
400hp+.
