Anyone know how I can tell from my VIN (or other markings /
identifiers) what options I have on a 2001 Z28?  Most stuff is obvious
but how do I tell what final gearing I have, is it Torsen etc?

Bring the VIN to any GM parts department and they can give you a basic option
print out which will show all the codes and options the vehicle left the
factory with.

Thanks for the tip.  I'll probably end up doing just that.  Are there
any resources on the net which can accomplish the same (that you know
of)?  I can certainly ask at the dealer next time I'm in for service
but thought it would be nice to do a little quick digging from the
comfort of my home.

I'm not aware of any resources that break down the VIN options by VIN like GM's
database does.

It takes the user at the terminal all of 2 seconds to get you what you
want---I've done it many times.
