Jimmy - 25 Jun 2004 00:49 GMT Floppy!
Haven't seen you around in a LOOOONG time.
Anyway...welcome back.
Still got a video of your camaro you posted years ago. '01? Quick clip of a 13 sec run....
Anyway didn't try posting a binary. Used Google. Use google a lot, cause my current ISP's news server sucks. But google takes a million years to post as well, or just doesn't post at all.

Not to pour gasoline on the fire Flop, but I kinda' read it as, he tried to post the link and it didn't make it. But the way it's written it can easily be interpreted as an attempted binary post.

You know what your problem is newbie c.nt? You pop in here, like you are some f.cking God, and you dont know sh.t. I have rides that others have seen in popular mags, and on ESPN, and I really dont give two sh.ts what comments you make about them...I am confident in knowing that *I* have taken a couple of Power Tours, and I dont really care what some guy thats fried one too many brain cells at some point huffing PPG cares about.
Been here too long, dealt with much better than you, and all have lost, while I am still here. Go figure that out and while you are at it, might I suggest that its much easier to see the screen if you get your pops dick out of your mouth before you reply this time, since thats all I can figure out is holding you back from possibly contributing something that a 4 year old didnt think of first...

I get a bit tired of people making jokes about the south, and certain states. Like RK making cracks about the south. Only place in the south I ever been that the people weren't nice was West Memphis.
The only state I dislike is Kentucky. Not the whole state either. Just most of the people from around the Hazard area. Yet I know some damn fine people from there too. Charles

SgtSilicon - 27 Jun 2004 16:42 GMT I apologized like I said. I pointed out that I should have realized he knew the difference between trying to post a binary and posting a URL because he has a handle like "Mr. Floppy." I was meaning that a name like that construed old school computer nerd training. As in FLOPPY DISK DRIVE or FLOPPY DISK. So my meaning anyway, was that I shouldn't have doubted him. Somehow, my apology must have been misinterpreted as an insult. It was never intended as such. Then I get told to go f.ck myself. Nothing pisses a guy off more than to offer apology only to be told that.
PS: People at work once used to call me "Mr. DOS", so to me "Mr. Floppy" seemed a complimentary nickname suggesting computer competence.

Ok, ok, don't get your panties in a wad. Interpreting typed text isn't as easy as everyone thinks. You don't get the benefit of seeing the person's expression. Not too many people say things like "with a name like Mr. Floppy..." and have anything positive to say. I interpreted it as sarcasm. It just comes with the territory I guess.

For example, if you have a ruler graduated in 32nds, it is easier to see something that is say 3/32 than if you have a ruler with only 16th gradients and call it 1 and a half 16ths. It probably shouldn't matter though.

It's good into the 130s? (Can't remember now.) But I do remember that they corner a hell of a lot better than the crap Eagle GSC-Z that came with my car. As far as compounds go, I've never been impressed with Goodyear. I've used and like Michelin, and BFGoodrich. I've also used Khumo and others, but they are too gummy and you can say good-bye to the tread after say....20-25K miles. (I actually burned through some Pilots in 12K mi. once, but I was purposely ripping them up every chance I got, not the best use of my time/money.)

From what I've read the Goodyear Eagle GSC tires that came on the cars aren't that great compared to some others out there. I'm still on those tires so don't have much to compare them with. Funny thing is they're pretty spendy too at over $170 per tire. The Michellins are around a similar price but I've heard good things about them. There are also some Asian brands that I have read some good thing about. Have you had experience or have friends that have owned Sumitomo or Yokahama? I know you mentioned the Kumhos are gummy. What about Bridgestone or Firestone. How about Dunlop or Pirelli? I've been to tirerack and know about the reviews there etc. Just wondered if you (or anyone here) have any insight on some of the other brands.

The yokahama is also very gummy. I'd put Dunlop and Pirelli on a par with BF Goodrich. (Though from my experience the Pirelli is not as durable as the Dunlop.) I've had Dunlop and Pirelli on my bike though, so, that's my frame of reference in regards to their compounds. I don't imagine it would change all that much from vehicle tires. (Granted, the technology is different, but the compounds should be the same.)
