This does not pertain to any particular model, but I had my windshield
replaced last summer and has been leaking ever since. Of course my lazy bum
won't take it back to the place that done the work(lack of receipt). It
appears to be leaking at the top of the windshield. Yet I cant tell if its
coming between the glass and seal, or if its coming through the plastic seal
and metal trim on the outside. If water were to get through that portion,
could it come in between the metal roof and ceiling? I have noticed that if
I park my car on an incline (front of car higher than rear of car) water
does not come through. Yet if I park nose down, and either it rains or wet
snow it leaks like a garden hose. I have yet to pull the outside trim and
seal out to check things out. Can I use like a clear silicone to seal up any
screwups the garage done?

I would take it back even without the receipt. Since you are not paying for
new glass the repair shouldn't cost too much. Probably the shop would cover
it anyway without the receipt.

Update..
Just for sh.ts and giggles today, I took the left, upper, and right trim off
the windshield and I could not believe what I had found. I could take my one
finger and gently lift up on the corner of the windshield and I can pull it
away from the seal. The stuff never BONDED to the windshield. The only thing
that is pretty much holding it in were the metal trim moldings. So, it is
going back to the shop first thing Monday morning. Good thing I have that
day off.

You don't say the age of the vehicle, but you may have a window channel
thats very rusty & needs to be primed & painted before the window work
is done.

It's a 1995 Bonnie and this car has very little rust from what I can see.
When I took the trim off the windshield yesterday, I could clearly see a gap
between the RTV or whatever that caulk stuff is and the windshield. I should
have taken pictures. Yet, it seems like it never bonded.
Thats okay though, its going back to the shop Monday hopefully.
