Yes, you'd be hard pressed to find a wierder car to bastardize. Seems
hardly worth the trouble. These "can I put a engine X in car Y" questions
come up a lot on usenet, and I always wonder, if you have to ask should you
be swapping engines at all? We put a man on the moon, so you can put a 350
in a Tempest somewhat easier than that (or a flat 4 subaru engine in a Ford
Ranger pickup, or whatever). Nobody ever does this swap, so it's not like
anybody has step by step instructions.

Wasn't the '63 the first of the "conventional" tempests? Came as the
"leMans" with a 326? Same body as a '64 GTO??? If not, I was mistaken
and putting a 350 in it might be a bit of a chore - and ill-advised.

Nope - '63 is the last of the odd balls... In fact (not that we'd want to
trust a movie as a reference) in "My Cousin Vinny" the real perp was driving
a '63 tempest, not a metallic mint green buick convertible!
