assuming they are all highway miles and that it was well maintained and
that you will continue to maintain the vehicle and that you drive almost
exclusively on the highway, probably around another 100,000 mile

Considering it's a 16-year old Firebird, it's shot. This stuff of "assume
it's all highway miles and well maintained" isn't a smart play here. It's
been driven about 9000 miles per year, so it was almost surely somebody's
commuter. Plus, it's a Firebird, so it probably belong to some hairy-legged
teenager rather than some blue-hair grandmother.

9000 miles a year is definitely low mileage - so I would not assume
all highway miles. Do you know ANY of it's history? Engine may already
have been overhauled(or even replaced). IF it is highway miles and
well maintained (I'd want documentation) the engine CAN be good for
300,000 miles - but more died with under 90,000 than reach anywhere
close to that.
If the price is right, go for it. A brand new TargetMaster is
relatively inexpensive if the original engine does decide to "go
south".
