98 grand am 2.2L oil pump

is that chain near the pump a timing chain or a drive chain for the pump?
also i need the torque specs for the rods bearings, if not is there a
place where i can go to find out. thanks

Did you mean 2.4L?

In the service manual the description for your engine mentions a chain that
drives a balance shaft which in turn drives the shaft for the oil pump.

Rod nut torque specification calls for torquing to 18 lb-ft followed by an
80 degree turn of the nut (known as torque-to-yield).
