I haven't purchased a new car in 18 years but now I believe I will. Have
found an out of state Dealer that has an 05 Vibe with Moon & Tune, Prem,
Monotone appearance Pkg, Pwr Group Package, 4 speed auto trans. & 16
Aluminum Wheels.
I am quoted $17,700 not including tax. What say you on this DEAL?
I'm interested!

I paid 15,500 in July for a 2005 Vibe, the only difference was a 5 spd
manual. It was part of the Employee price promo.
You'll love the car. My only complaint is that the steering wheel seems
too far away, and there is no arm rest for your elbows.
Good luck

Thanks for all you who answered. The owner(the guy I dealt with from the
beginning) knocked another $200 off to make it $17,500 plus they will drive
it to my home next week (450 miles round trip) included.
I am using $3000 from the older style GM Card so I am paying $14,500 out of
pocket you might say. I am guessing the GM Card money might disappear if GM
files bankruptcy because a person would be considered an "unsecured
creditor" in those circumstances.

John,
I agree with you. Love the Vibe, arms are tired.
The door arm rest is all its ever going to be - not much.
However, there was a discussion thread a few months back about the center
console armrest.
I ordered a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRs center console lid. Fit like a glove and
now the arm rest is much higher and
much more comfortable. The price was <$90 USD.
The site was a dealership in Mechanicsville, Virginia......but the glitch is
you have to order by the part number.
If you order by the drawing, you get the lower version.
Do a search of previous threads on "Vibe armrest". It may show up if your
news service holds messages for a while.

I bought a new Vibe in 2004. It now has 37000 miles on it, and I haven't
spent one penny on unscheduled maintenance. I can't comment on price because
I haven't done any current research on price, but be assured that the Vibe
is a good value, especially with the GM Card earnings. Find out all you ever
wanted to know about the Vibe at www.genvibe.com.

Thanks for the real world vehicle review. Also, the link is a good one.
