Hello,
I have a 94 grand am SE. Lately i've been having lots of trouble with my
car.First the cigarette lighter wouldn't work.I changed my fuses and it
didn't help. Then it started missing (really bad where i would have to drive
it in 3rd ).I changed my spark plugs and wire.It seem to have worked for a
little bit but it's still missing. ( not as bad but bad enough) . My car also
has a little knocking in the engine and sometime my engine likes to shake.
Everyone keeps telling me to buy a new one but i really like my car. I got
her pimped out so i really don't want to give it up...Do u have any
suggestions on what else i can do too bring my baby back to life.

PS: i'm a girl so please don't talk like i'm a pro ...i know some stuff about
engines but not like a guy would.

Thanks
Frenchy!!

No way to diagnose conditions like this over the internet, you need to have
a pro look at the engine and recommend what should be done.

A miss will not set a specific miss code in an obd1 car, a bad injector,
coil, wire, plug are all possibilities. See which cylinder is causing the
miss, disconnect one plug wire at a time the one that does not change the
engine roughness is the culprit.

Also helps to know what engine you got in it. The quad 4? Either way,
work your way back. If the plugs are fine and the wires are fine next
would be the coil packs. This would be the likely culprit.
