97 grand am  theft sys

light on dashboard theft sys stay on the car start and automatically shut
down i was told to turn the key on engine off wait for 10 min then start
the vehicle normally no success also disconnect the cable battery more the
1 hrs no result can t someone help me on this one

The dealer can help unless you really swiped the car.

Start stall the security light flashing let flash till it goes out turn
ignition off wait 5 seconds and start the car. thats the procedure.
dissconecting the battery won't help. the theft system needs to learn the
code in the lock cyl. I would replace the ignition lock cylder if it starts.
