I have the same problem... the engine blew,, smoke everywhere...
the car then died.....would not start..
i replaced the engine with one from a junk yard.
when i tried to start the new engine it had no fuel coming out of
injectors.. (no voltage to injectors.. good fuel pump..
i noticed the theft system light on before starting..
i tried several methods of reset... i tried turning it over for a
second then back to on position for 10-15 minute.. no help
then per above i tried just going to the on position and letting it
sit for 20 minutes.
the light never blinks,, it stays on all the time..
i would hate to have it towed and then have the dealership charge 115
for diagnostic and 100 to reset it with a tech-2..
is there a manual way to reset the System...
Thanks LOU

You might check out the following site:

It has a good write up on the relearn procedures. You have to scroll down
the option list until you get to Computer relearn procedures. This help me
out lot when I replaced the ignition switch on my son's car.
