I have an '02 Grand Am with the 3.4 liter 6cyl engine.

I remember reading about this engine having a gasket
problem, it was either a head gasket or a manifold
gasket.

I think I heard it was a design flaw?
Can someone fill me in on the details?
Can this be corrected, or is this something that keeps
coming back?

I think I want to have it looked at before it becomes a
bigger issue.

Any info you can pass on, links, or whatever, would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Lower intake manifold gaskets. Coolant loss which is sometimes noticed
leaking outside the engine. It can also leak into the crankcase and if left
un-noticed, you can burn up the lower end bearings. They have improved
gaskets and manifold bolts that won't loosen as easily as the original.

I forgot to respond.
Thank you very much.
I'm getting it fixed right now, the kit was only $70.
