I found the blown fuse... under the hood and inside the plastic fuse-box
located just over the drivers side front tire, it was the 4th fuse from the
cowl forward. It's an 8-amp (white) one. So, I replaced it with a new 8-amp
fuse and the clock, dome, hood and glove-box lights all worked fine for
about 24 hours, then blew as I was driving today... or at least I noticed
the dome light was out once I parked and opened the door.
I got back to my shop and did some digging around under the hood and noticed
the wire comming out of the fuse-bank for this fuse was (IMO) a "rather
thin" black wire that ducked back under the fuse-box and straight-away
slipped into a loom of wiring harness. The factory Fuse-Box cover does not
give a fuse RATING (!?!) only says what componet(s) the fuse protects.
Seemed rather odd for such a small wire to carry the current to power:
The Clock
Trunk Lighting
Glove-box Lighting
Dome/Interior Light
Engine Compartment Light
Anyone have the info on this fuse, what the factory-rating (amps) should
be...and/or about the black wire, and why it's so thin?
Anyone have any suggestions?

No of these items work on my 87 911. I think it is a common problem area (no
pun intended). I plan on thouroughly checking it out one day. Get a hold of
the wiring diagram and start checking your grounds and continuity. Be careful
you don't burn out your wire harness.
Good luck!
