So the 3.3 turbo motor was mated to the original 915 5-speed in
the '84 Carrera?

That is what it looks like - I am not the seller - but I have a simmular
car. My 1984 Factory wide body has a custom Turbo conversion w/ about
450 HP. I am still using the stock 915 tranny - and it is fine. I have
read elswhere that the ole' 915 can handle plenty of power.
