Targa Bar question

I'm about to buy an early 80s SC.  I love the car, but I really like
the older 911 aesthetic.  Question - is it possible to replace the
black targa bar with the brushed steel one from the earlier targas?
Does anyone sell a replacement part?  Or is it possible to refinish
the black bar?

Is it considered sacriledge to even suggest this?

The bar coverings are pretty much interchangeable as far as I know.
Porsche used up the last of the brushed steel ones on the first 1978
SCs, since they tend to use up the last of the parts bin that way
after a model change. Should be do-able.
Personally, I think this look only works with all the steel trim,
the window surrounds and door handles, and even then it depends on the
color of the car itself.
