Battery went dead so i jumped it with a booster.  Oops.  Perhaps I
fried the underseat control unit, but maybe not.  I put in a new
battery and car won't fire.  I added a bit of starting fluid and it
fired once but not since.  I thought it may not be getting fuel so I
moved around the relays.  But I haven't checked for fuel flow.  how
should I do this?  Anything else?
Thanks,
Norm

One of the most common faults that occurs with the older Carreras is the DME
relay. If you don't know if it's been changed, it could very well be the
cause for not starting. The DME relay lives under the driver's seat, right
next to the DME box. It's actually a two-section relay - if either section
fails, the car is dead. I once had brief success with getting my car
restarted by giving the relay a sharp whack with the handle of a
screwdriver. It got me home, but would not restart after that & needed to be
replaced. They cost about $50 and it's good insurance to keep a spare handy.
