It's not hard at all, Dan. Basically, there are two ways to go - you can but
the tail and bolt it onto your existing engine lid, or, you can but a
complete lid & tail. In either case you will most likely have to have the
tail/lid repainted to match your car, unless you're lucky enough to find
someone selling in the same color as the car.
One other minor gotcha - typically, the cars built without tails are missing
the lid support shock on the passenger side and the hinge needs to be
changed to the one that connects to the support shock. In my case, there was
no mounting point for the shock on the body, either. There are two ways to
go with that - either obtain the necessary mount, hinge, and support shock,
or, obtain the additional support shock and double-up the one on the left
side. This works fine, but you need to fashion the hardware necessary to
mount the second support shock next to the original, and you need to then
press down on the left side when closing the lid to avoid twisting the lid.
