I've had about 8 Porsches in my life time but just can't afford them any longer. I'm not a mechanic that that really costs a boodle if you aren't. So, I sold my '88 Carrera 2 years ago and bought a Subaru Baja. We needed a small pickup and it is ideal. Nice suspension and will out drag a 911, up to 25 mph. ;-) Anyway, today I got some Hella Hi/Lo horns from Pelican and put them on. Instead of going quack, quack, it goes toot, toot in harmony. I sold my 911 after owning Porsches for 12 years. Got an S2000 now. I still think I'm a Porsche car guy. Becomming a bit sad reading this, am still happy with my first and hope if I sell it, it would be for an other Porsche. Agree that it is a feeling and if you driven and owned so many Porsche's "yes you guys are thru Porsche lovers" LH '92 911 cab The other day I dropped my my "old Porsche mechanics" shop for a chat, hadn't been there for a year or so. I walked into his shop that there were about 15 Porsche's in there. The sight of them made me catch my breath for a moment, the feeling hasn't changed a bit. He has a new mechanic working for him now, an ex-Mercedes guy. He saw my Baja and had to take a look and liked what he saw; we teased about it being my "black/silver Porsche with a PU bed". Meanwhile I was busy sticking my head in the window of a pretty silver 1960 356 that my friend had !totally! restored; it smelled like a Porsche. He apologized for having a blue coil on it rather than the original. We teased about him paint it black so no one would know. Old Porsche Owners are fun to be around!
