Evenin' all....
Got my key disaster sorted (snapped in lock!) and now have 3 spares made up!
Just quickly - Targa ('74 911) needs a damn good service and tune (feels
like it runs on 5 at times and stutters/stalls if you floor the throttle)
I'm on a budget and happy to change those obvious things I can but...does
anyone have recommendations for a service/tune in the South of UK (Hampshire
would be good!)
And finally...Any Porsche breakers around? I would like to find a source of
second hand parts (need a wing in particular) but not having much joy. Have
found the excellent www.design911.co.uk but they're a little too much at the
moment!
Thanks guys!

I can't help you much there, since I'm some thousands of miles from your
location, but I might be able to help in general if your car is running
poorly. Simple things you can do/replace/check:
1. replace all of the vacuum lines
2. adjust the valves -- the earlier 911's are particular about this
3. replace the fuel filter
4. replace the distributor cap, rotor, and plug wires
On my '82, each of these things has been responsible for the engine
running very poorly at various times during the time that I've owned it.
On your '74, I'd also suspect the carburetor if it's so equipped.

that's excellent advise for any car of that vintage.

you're in the south of England, and you're part of the EU, so... ebay.co.uk
or ebay.de the eBay UK has a guy what says he's got your front fender...
