Hard to say without knowing a little more about what you mean by "wrong."

I just rebuilt the calipers on my 67 911S. Make sure that you get some
"Disk Brake Lube" to help you put the calipers all back together. When
you replace the piston, you have to feel the piston pass the O-ring, or
else you can tear the o-ring.
I used a Moto Tool rotating brush to clean out the o-ring grooves before
putting them back together. I also cleaned up the interior parts of the
pistons, making sure that all was clean, inside.
Also, as part of the restoration, I snadblasted the outsides of the
calipers and primed with 2-part PPG epoxy primer, then silver Imron.
Just make sure that all blasting sand is removed, inside and outside,
before reassembly.
