hi,
am looking at replacing headlight bulbs on my '85 930 with 80w/100w H4s -
has anyone done this?  rennlist suggest installing a relay if exceeding OEM
60w bulb. is this an easy install?

Not a tough job...but you need to understand the wiring at the headlight
end.  I've done it with slightly lower wattage without the relay...but if
you're going to run 100 W high beams...then I'd go with the relay...as that
mid-80's wiring will probably cause you trouble at some point with that much
load.

the relay is important to protect the hi/lo beam dimmer switch. You'll fry
the contacts with the higher wattage bulbs.
