what year is your 911? Since sometime in the mid-seventies, the brakelight
switch(es) have been mounted on the master cylinder. The need for increased
pedal pressure to light the lights is generally  a sign that the switches
need to be replaced. There is no adjustment as they are hydraulically
actuated. Early cars had the mechanical switches mounted at the pedal
cluster.

My brake light works but it only lights when the pedal is pressed to the
floor. When I press lightly it does not light.Is there a ajustment.. and
were is it.Took the floor under the pedals out but did not find any
ajustment.
