Yesterday I got to drive a 911S for the first time time. It was a 1977 and I
must say it had much more power than I was expecting.  I couldn't believe
how loud it was either, like a race car.  What kind of power and performance
did those things have? The car wasn't modified and had 117k on it, but man
when I dropped the hammer she flew! The Shifter was kind of a pain in the
butt, took about 5 miles to get used to. It was a awesome driving
experience.

I owned one.   A 77.   If you get it, upgrade the fan to the 11 blade  (I
think the original is 5, and it runs too hot),  and dump the heat
exchangers.  I don't know if Automotion is still in business but you used to
be able to get straight pipes without interfering with the muffler.
Othewise a very nice car.
