Hi All,

When I purchased my '97 993 C4 Cabriolet five years ago, the original owner
had done a pretty good job of getting curb rash on the rims. Since then I've
been dreaming about the day I would get replaement rims. Well, it looks like
Santa is gonna be kind this year, so I thought I would ask your opinions.
Please note that I use this car only for recreational driving on sunny days.
I am not racing the car, but I do like to push it around a bit.

Wheel Diameter:
My car has factory 17" wheels. I had been planning on putting 18" wheels on,
but lately 19" wheels have been catching my eye. However, I have a concern
about speedometer accuracy. From my calculations, if my speedo is spot on
with my 17" rims (which I cannot confirm), if I put 19" rims on, when my
speedo is reading 70 I'll in fact be going over 78! Is there a way to
compensate the speedo for the larger wheel diameter? Or, for speedo and
appearances should I only go to the 18" wheels?

Wheel Width:
I was thinking 8.5" in the front and 10" in the rear. Thoughts?

Tires:
Goodyear Eagle F1 or Pirelli PZero Rosso?

Tire Size:
Ok... here I have no idea. I don't want the walls to look like roller
bearings, but I don't want them too tall either. What do you suggest?

Thanks for your input!
