It's gotta be your ISP or whoever hosts your news service allowing the
spam through. On two separate news servers that I use, I have not seen
any of them.
Just to add some Porsche content, I saw a 1990 928 S4 for sale today on
the Seattle Craigslist site for $6k. I emailed the guy, but I think
it's gotta be a scam or joke since it should be a $15k car. I do not
fall for scams easily, but I figured an email couldn't hurt too much. I
thought, "That's a nice price for a nice car."
If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

No spam here either...

As a follow up: The 1990 928 S4 is more like a $25,000 car. I looked
around on fleaBay and the full tubes of teh Internets.
Incidentally, my email got to the guy. He replied. Big surprise that
the car is not here (even though it was posted on Seattle CL), but in
Coppell, Texas (Dallas-Ft Worth). It also oddly has Michigan plates on
it, but anything is possible. It gets better here: He says that the
$6k includes shipping and everything (wow!) and all I need to do is give
him my shipping information so he can set up the money transfer with
Worldpay. Classic scam bits. I should string him along.
I wonder if he reads Usenet.
Hey Guru! Don't you live in Texas? How far are you from Coppell? I
really don't think it exists, but I'd like to have the option in my hip
pocket. I probably could get someone from the Porsche club to do it if
it were a reality.
A 90 S4 for $6k shipped! Fun stuff.

Coppell is near Dallas and I'm in Houston. I agree that you can probably
find someone in the PCA-Maverick region if the bargaining got serious. The
whole deal does seem to be a bit like 3 day old fish, smelly!
