engine mount replacement

Hi all!

I just replaced the engine mounts of my 84 944. One was broken and gave
alot of vibration mainly when driving at low rev. It realy feels as if
i drive another car...

I had the oldfashoned style engine mounts under my car and replaced the
with a newer type. The old type is attached to the engine "arm" (on
top) with two bolts and nuts. In the engine mount has just a hole for
the bolt to go through. But the new type has a thread instead of just a
hole. So you fasten the bolt directly in the engine mount.

Now I couldn't get the nut on the bolt anymore with these new enigne
mounts. But it looks like they normally do also put this nut on the
bolt (even when it is already fastened)

Does any of you have any experience with this? can I just leave the nut
or should I try again? Is there a different kind of nut that is easier
to install?

Thanx in advance Jasper

Doesnt that center bolt come through the mount enough to put on the nut when
you lower the engine down on support?
I do think that bolt is important.
