Anyone out there "in the know" can advise me on the following problem: Electric front windows are not operational. I have initially changed the 25amp fuse (which I beleive is in the correct place in the fuse box) to no avail - they still won't work. They were initially stuck down and they only moved to the closed position when I used my remote for the central locking/alarm. They haven't worked since. Before I go and spend lots of cash on electrics exploration, anyone please help me? It would be much appreciated. Thanks Baz :

I suggest you break the car for spare parts, can I have the seats?

I'm in the know - and I know that your windows are definitely stuck up.
Sheez - and what's a LUX?

Considering that the alarm system moved them to the up position, I'd think
that the window motor is still working. My car had a bad switch preventing
the window from moving to the up position. Try cleaning (remove, take apart
switch, using 400 grit or finer sandpaper all switch contacts, replace) or
replace the window switch for the driver's window. If that allows the
drivers window to move then replace or clean the contacts on the passengers
side..
