All:
My 1987 944 Turbo was stalling intermittently, so I replaced the DME relay
(P/N 993...), which seems to be the most common solution to this problem.
This appeared to correct the problem for a month or so, but the engine
stalling came back. So, I don't think this was the problem after all.
My next proposed step is to resolder every solder joint on the 2 computers
(DME and KLM?) that are located under the passenger footwell. I'm not
looking forward to this. Does somebody have other advice to correct this
stalling situation? I live in Florida, USA, and the problem seems to happen
when the ambient temperatures are hotter (75 F + ) but I don't know this for
sure.
Another solution would be to be sure the alarm switch is working correctly.
Does anybody have experience with fixing an intermittent stalling problem?
Thanks for your help.

Check the fuel pressure.

Mine would stall and continue stalling for 15 minutes or so...
I ran some tests with a voltmeter on my DME plugin and according to
shop manuals, it ended up being my speed transmitter....
Worth a look at least :)
