when to add "dry gas"

how long a time period would have pass before it became important to
add "dry gas"?

Dry gas is commonly ethyl alcohol.

You'd only need to add dry gas if you had vapor lock / fuel line
freezing or had moisture contamination of your fuel.

If you're planning to store your fuel for a while, add a gas stabilizer.
