Performance Products is having a sale on strut braces. For the 944 they
have two types for the same price. One is by Cambermeister and is a
steel rod. The other is is by Racing dynamics and is an aluminum
casting. Does anyone have experience with either of these? Which is
preferable?

I, personally, am not fond of either one of these braces...  Both are
of a design where they pivot at the top of the strut tower.  The point
of installing such a brace is to stiffen the chassis, under the theory
that under hard cornering, the force from the outside wheel can cause
the top of the strut tower to bow in.  Anyhow, these braces act as a
hing up there -- picture the two struts, the subframe (that goes under
the engine) and the camber brace as a square.  If you push in from one
of the sides (struts), the hinged top will allow that shape to become a
diamond.

Try to find a brace that rigidly bolts to the strut towers.  (like the
factory Turbo Cup cars)

Of course, if you're just going to looks, get the polished aluminum
one!

That's just my two cents.

I must correct myself -- the Racing Dynamics one does NOT pivot like
the cambermeister one.  So, I would recommend that one!
