Had new rear breaks put on today, on a 1984 Porsche 944.  New Disc Brake
Rotor's, Pad Sensor and Premium Pad's.  Driving home it seemed fine except
when I got to a good size hill the engine started racing.   Car was not
going as fast as it should of in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear at 4000-5000 RPM's.
Could something be slipping, would this be related to a poor break job????
Any help.

Thanks!

The brakes could be badly adjusted or stuck in some way!

Do they get hot after a short run when you have not used them?

If so take the car back to the workshop that fitted the new brakes or try
the following.

Chock the front wheels so the car cannot move

Jack up the rear wheels.

Release the handbrake and check that the wheels turn freely.

If they are badly adjusted then the engine will have to work harder and this
could show up a weak clutch in the higher gears.
