please rephrase "inner wing" - I'm not sure what you are talking about -
there is vac on the brake booster, there is a charcoal caniseter in one
fender well, and there are vacuum operated flaps in the climate control
system

hi bill,
the noise is from the lhf wheel arch area.. what you guy's call the
"fender wheel".... i've noticed it does it on a random basis ...it did
today as came into a junction (changing down to 2nd gear " approx
15mph")..no noticeable change in engine running thou...just puzzzled
by it !! you mentioned a charcoal cannister i know the US models had
this for fuel tank vent emmisions..is fitted on european spec cars?
thanks

if you have a copy of the PET6 program you can check and see if it's fitted
to eurospec cars - look for vacumm lines and stuff (fairly large) above the
fender - that's a hint. - or look up inbetween the rear of the plastic
fender liner and the body and see what you can see. if you have it, it's
mounted against the sheet metal at the very back of the compartment behind
the rear of the plastic fender liner on the LH side

Sure it's not the fans? They run after the engine is shut off when
it's hot enough.
Another possiblility may be some of the air conditioning components...
not sure where they are on an '87, but that's where it's at on my '86
