I currently have Toyo RA1 205/50ZR/15 tires on my 7J X 15 cookie
cutter rims.  My question is will a 225/50R/15 tire work.  My 1984 is
used at the track for FAT, HPDE, and some timed events.

Thanks for any feedback.

I believe there is a thread going on over at Pelican about just your
question.  I'm sure you know that the stock size was 215/60R15 and
there was some discussion about going to 225/50.  It *is* shorter but
I am guessing that you aren't concerned about speedo error and may
consider the gearing change a Good Thing given your intended usage.

good luck

The 225/50R15 fits, and works well.  I think it made the car handle
better.  But, it could be just new rubber.

Thanks
