Darn Mouses

Just opened my hood - full of an insulation nest under the intake
manifold...Darn mouses...At least they didn't touch the spark wires or
vacuum hoses.

I'm putting down a lot of poison today...and sprayed the wires with
silicone!

In the coldest and meanest night in Palenville up past Woodstock, NY - the
winds were howling through the mountains - and the 944 started in the middle
of the night and ran like a champ!

Happy New Year

someone said Irish Spring soap bars will work as good as but without the odor of mothballs.

when a friend got an 84 that had sat for several years, we pulled about a
cubic yard of snail shells out of the engine, and drained a cup of mouse
urine from the air cleaner (they were living inside the air cleaner) -
Bleah!

I've heard of Irish Spring soap - but wouldn't that make the 944 smell like
an Irish Spring?  And ruin the leather smell?
The mouses lived in my air filter about 3 times - the little rat b-stards.
With leaves or insulation or towels as blankets too.

From now on - POISON hard bait will be constantly supplied until there are
no more mouses in a 1/4 mile radius,  I mean - I want to get a new Vette
with no mouses.

Hmmmm
dead rotting mouse smell along with their dead bodies
OR
Irish Spring and leather

Hard choice!  lol

A cat might be a better choice!  ;-)

new research suggets that cats are very effective at repelling mice and rats
consider a cat - much more fun than poison, and equally devastating on the
mice

Cats are cute and all, and if I had a cat - boy it would have fun in my
yard...but alas, I am allergic to the beasts.
Does that IRISH SPRING stuff really work?

Where would i put it?  All around inside my garage?  I bet the mouse eat the
stuff and love it!  I had mice eat IVORY soap.

if you are alergic to cats, get some cat urine and spritz a little on the
ground near where you park.
that ought to do the trick as well - maybe pet stores sell simulated cat
urine, but I'll bet you can get some from a live cat easily enough

I think that fox urine is sold, so maybe that could do the trick.
NOW that is if YOU don't mind the odors?  lol

Irish Spring is cheap to try and easy to find.  Should smell nice too, even if you place it in the engine compartment in different spots.  ;-)

OK - I tried to get some urine from a live cat - and now the cat follows me
wherever I go...
I gotta go - she's meowing me again.
