Hi all On my 1987 944 there are ventilator grills on rear edge the front door frames which line up with vent grills on the body frame at the rear of the doors. What purpose do these vents serve? A friend said they were to cool the rear brakes but there is no outlet under the rear wheel arch. Alec they have nothing to do with cooling the brakes - they are then to get air over the rear hatch, as I recall - I don't have a 944 here to double check - they basically connect the door interior to the rest of the body interior - If my memory serves and there are some small vent holes near the hatch, then the above speculation is correct - they could also be associated with reducing/eliminating condensation in the body interior - but for sure they have nothing to do with any of the car mechanical systems. by the way, I have a set of these to get rid of if anyone needs them - still trying to get rid of the remnants of an 87S that got seriously hurt > Hi all > [quoted text clipped - 8 lines] > > Alec  SignaturePosted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com > still trying to get rid of the remnants of an 87S that > got seriously hurt What do you have left that would fit my 87na? SignatureJack a fair amount of what I would call "miscellany" - much but not all is listed on my web page, www.wbnoble.com - I have a complete HVAC assembly, complete roof lifting mechanism with all cables and gears, pass side door, rear hatch, gas tank, brake calipers and front disks, really nice Koni rear shocks, brake master cyl and booster, some misc switches and sensors... the list goes on Oh, and for anyone with an 86 or earlier, I have a set of fuchs 15 inch wheels - they are straight, but some idiot chrome plated them. >> still trying to get rid of the remnants of an 87S that >> got seriously hurt > > What do you have left that would fit my 87na?
