1989 944s Windscreen

Dear Group,

I've been told that a Golf's windscreen will fit exactly on my 944s.
1) Is this true?
2) and if so which model of Golf's windscreen can be used?

When the original 924 was designed for Volkswagen it used many Rabbit/Golf
parts.
Porsche continued with these when they decided to make the car instead of
Volkswagen, many will have been carried forward to the 944.

Sometimes the PET partlist on the Porsche Site lists the Volkswagen part
number

I recently purchased a new windshield from www.windshieldstogo.com for
$185.00 for '87 944..
The code is fw360ggn. Suggest you ask them for price etc for VW glass
and see if
it matches. Then order the least expensive item.
