Anyone who can help.

I need to replace a sunroof lifting arm on my 1984 944.

Previous owner didn't know how to go online to find out how to remove
the roof.  He did figure out how to break the arm.

I have found a lifting arm for 944/2, I don't know if this will work
or not.

I don't have much skill, but have many friends with skill.

I appreciate help.

By the way, I am looking for a replacement arm and any hints for
installing the replacement arm.

I think I have a pair of spare arms - contact me directly off the list

I'll have to look for them this weekend though.  They are not hard to find -
and I'd be really surprised if the arm itself was broken - are you sure it's
the arm?

Bill,

Thank you for the response.

Half of the Driver's side lifting arm came in the glove box with the
car.

Is this a difficult item to replace?

I'm in no rush, I am waiting on parts to change rear wheel bearings
and axles at this point.

I am also looking for information on the security system.  Is it worth
finding, or possible to find a replacement key?

I assume "original" mobile phone system is still installed in driver
rear quarter along with antenna on hatch.  (no handset) Can or should
this be removed, or is it not a mobile phone in the panel.

Thanks again.
