Hello All
I have a 1986 rhd 944 Turbo, I haven't had it  very long so I don't
know much about them (yet at least ;-))

Sporadically the indicators don't  work!

After turning them on the green light will blink for a moment and then
go out. The indicator will com on but will not blink. I then have to
furiously waggle the stalk to get  few blinks before turning - very
annoying

Sometimes however they do work or will work for a while and then stop
working

Additionally if I have the indicator on for a long time e.g. at a slow
traffic light it sometimes turns itself off

Is it an electrical problem or is it more likely that the indicator
unit is worn out and just need to be replaced or is it something else
entirely?

Many thanks

Barry

Pop the hood and open the fuse box. There should be a diagram on the
inside of the lid with all of your fuses/relays listed. I'd check the
flasher relays, fuses, and exterior bulbs thoroughly before messing with
the stalk. Sounds to me like a combo of bad relays and bulbs. Good luck.
