Flickering '!' and Oil Light

Seems for awhile now that my '!' light and oil light will flicker when
my 88' 944 gets wet (as in rainy/humid for a day or two).  After it
dries up, the symptom stops...  Now it is not an full-on/full-off
flicker -- more like dimly lit...off...flicker...dim...off...etc...
Any ideas on where to look for a short?  Could it be related to some
type of oil pressure sender failure?  Note that there is -NO- sign that
the oil pressure gauge moves in relation to this issue.  Ideas?

Try cleaning and tightening the electrical connector at the sensor (near the
oil filter).
