Interesting find when fixing my brake caliper...

Just the other day, after a long story about how I lost 1 of my brake caliper mounting bolts at 60 mph, I found that my front driverside strut seems to be leaking some grease.

I looked up towards the top of the strut (inside the spring) and the rubber boot around the strut seems to be cracked. This crack is large enough to pull the rubber boot back from the strut.

Just wondering if anyone knows what I could do to fix this. New strut, rebuild it, etc.

I have clue how struts and the suspension work on my car, so I'm fairly clueless here. :P

Thanks in advance.

Well, it looks your shock is gone. You have to find out which kind of strut
you have. Try to find some type number on it. If it is a new model you need
this http://64.226.197.185/Paragon/Tech/944_koni_1414S.htm otherwise you
just have to get 2 old type inserts. To keep the car save change but shocks.
Get a new rubber boot also.

good luck, Paul
